Working on your first or next level ICF Certification? I am a Certified Mentor Coach who received my own MCC certification in 2018. I am well versed on what it takes to check those boxes on the ICF competencies while also maintaining coaching presence, and it’s a tall order! Think of it as a journey toward coaching mastery with multiple milestones along the journey. Achieving those letters is awesome, but so is the satisfaction of growing and learning along the way.
I have mentored coaches who have successfully achieved their ACC, PCC and MCC level certifications. You can check out what some of my mentor clients say about their experience working with me here.
1:1 Mentor Coaching
With private mentoring, I offer services that are flexible in structure to meet your individual needs and learning style. We will co-create together an approach designed to best serve you and your goal.
Depending on where you are in your coaching journey, you may be seeking:
- 10-hours of mentor coaching required to renew your ACC credential
- 10-hours of mentor coaching required to apply for your MCC
- 10-hours of mentor coaching required to apply for your ACC or PCC credential if you are on the ACSTH or Portfolio path to certification
- Feedback before submitting a recording for your performance evaluation
- Additional Continuing Coach Education (CCE) or Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours
To qualify for the ICF 10-hour mentor coaching requirement, the majority of our sessions will entail me either listening to a call you have recorded, or having you coach me so that I can give you feedback based on experiencing how you coach. We’ll focus on identifying your strengths as well as growth areas that will help you achieve your desired goal. Additionally, you may opt to have me coach you for one of our sessions if you’d like me to model particular skills. We might spend a session or two going deep into a particular competency where you may feel less clear or less confident about what’s required.
To qualify for CCE or CPD hours there is more flexibility in how we use the hours as I am also a certified coach supervisor, so these sessions can be used not only for mentoring on your coaching skills, but for support around challenging coaching situations or exploring themes or triggers you may be experiencing. Mentor coaching is focused on developing your coaching skills in the ICF competency areas. I can also offer you coaching around developing your coaching business or other work/life concerns, however, these sessions would not qualify as mentor coaching or supervision hours.
